Community Service Learning!
In the Summer of 2013 I volunteered with the Haudenosaunee in the Finger Lakes area. Learning a sense of humility from the people indiginous to this area, yet have had most of their land taken and have become a minority, is something I cannot describe adequately. Learning of the Great Tree of Peace, Turtle Island, and of the Good Mind struck me and has informed my environmental perspective ever since.
Protection and power are overrated. I think you are very wise to choose happiness and love.There are reasons each of us are born. we have to find those reasons.
It is important to draw wisdom from different places. If you take it from only one place it become rigid and stale.
Life happens wherever you are, whether you make it or not. While it is always best to believe in one’s self, a little help from others can be a great blessing.
